Associate Prof. Zhiyu Huang from our college contributed to the book "Environmental Public Interest Litigation in China", which was recently published by Springer Nature Publishing House. Mr. Huang was responsible for writing Chapter 13, which discusses the judicial application of ecological restoration liability in China's environmental public interest litigation, taking the guiding cases, gazette cases and typical cases issued by the Supreme People's Court as the target. This achievement is another manifestation of our active participation in international exchanges and seminars.

The book, which took nearly two years to prepare, was edited by Professor Wang Xi of the Law School of Kunming University of Science and Technology, China, and Dr. Xiaobo Zhao and Professor Noeleen McNamara of the School of Law and Justice, University of Southern Queensland, Australia. The book is co-authored by outstanding environmental law scholars from 14 renowned universities at home and abroad, including the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, Peking University, China University of Political Science and Law, Kunming University of Science and Technology, and Nanchang University. The book is divided into three parts, consisting of a total of seventeen chapters. It employs historical research, comparative research, and case studies to systematically analyze and present the background and current situation of the rise and flourishing development of environmental public interest litigation in China. It also extensively discusses the important procedural and substantive issues involved in China's environmental public interest litigation, providing academic proposals and suggestions for reforming and improving China's environmental public interest litigation system. As the world's first English-language publication that systematically and comprehensively explores environmental public interest litigation in China, it demonstrates the Chinese program of environmental public interest litigation for foreign environmental judicial theory and practice, and is a landmark achievement of China's environmental public interest litigation legal system research towards internationalization.
